Alfa Romeo Unveils Special F1 Livery for Azerbaijan Grand Prix

Alfa Romeo made a one-of-a-kind paint job for the 2022 Azerbaijan Grand Prix (GP) to celebrate the release of the Tonale, their next luxury SUV.

The new colors closely resemble the unique livery used at the 2021 Italian GP, with the distinguishing red and white tones in the front half of the car. There's also a dab of green as a symbol of the Italian flag on the engine cap and sidepod.

Alfa Romeo fans can now experience the new livery in all its splendor thanks to a splendid, augmented reality app created by JigSpace.

Tonale's signature headlamp design may also be seen on the C42's engine cover. The Tonale is the Italian automaker's first electric C-SUV or crossover SUV. It will soon be available in European dealerships. Bottas and Guanyu tested the vehicle in the Italian Alps earlier this year.

The Sauber Formula One team, which competes with Alfa Romeo, has long claimed that its ties to the firm go beyond branding. The Swiss team was critical in the development of the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and GTAm road vehicles.

Even if it isn't in F1, the two firms need to have a strong partnership. The car component of the partnership is crucial if you want to establish a relationship between the brand and the F1 team.

What Can Alfa Romeo Expect from the Azerbaijan GP?

The C42's characteristics were expected to suit the C42's characteristics, but Bottas had a poor Friday, putting him on the back foot. Despite this, he was able to qualify for Q3 and extend his season-long run of finishing in the points.

Baku City Circuit emphasizes mechanical grip and top speed, which are Alfa Romeo's strengths and Mercedes' potential weaknesses.

Alfa's Baku livery is the season's first dramatic change, even though Alpine's first two races were in an entirely pink car.

Alfa Romeo finished in the top five for the first time in Formula One history, the team's finest ever result. At the halfway point of the season, Alfa Romeo leads Alpine by one point in the Constructors' Championship.
